HELP! I am under pressure and really struggling

I have a really strange problem and I cannot work out how to solve it - please can you help as I am under immense pressure to get this done.

So, I have a character/puppet which has some Xmas antlers on his head. They are there in the AI file, but when I bring them into CA, they do not show up and I cannot understand why.

If I go into rig mode, the putline seems to indicate that they are there, yet I still don't see them.

It was working fine in v23.6 - I upgraded to V24 and then the problem occurred. But even when I reinstalled the older version the problem persists.
