how do i swap between emotional lip synchs?

I have made a mouth group with a neutral, excited and worried set of visemes but am having no luck switching between the emotions using triggers. I'm sure I just don't know the proper rigging and labelling hierarchy in Character Animator (I've only just started using it.)

I'd like to be able to change the emotional tone of the character by swapping between the viseme sets and could really use some help.
