How do you omit characters?

I opened several puppets yesterday and now they are 'married' to each other and I can't separate them. Any suggestions?

How ch works is it has an internal binary representation to store puppets (and scenes and recordings) in a project. If you want to use a puppet in another project, use "export puppet" from the menu and it will create a .puppet file (shhh! it's a zip file!) with tthe artwork and rigging instructions. You can then import the .puppet file into aotnerh project. You cannot get a full puppet going directly to the files on disk. You can find the artwork file, but not all the rigging information. Does that help?

could you provide a bit more info? Are you in the rig mode, or doing a scene/ a screenshot could help. I dont know what "married" means here.

I apoligize for being so unclear. It has to do with not understanding what is happening to my project at the moment. The story started when I downloaded several new puppets to check them out. They all wound up in the same CA file and I couldn't get them apart. I tried removing the files from each other by moving the files away from where they were but that just seemed to leave me with 'missing' files in CA
