Question

How to apply color to same asset across various puppet positions?

Is there a quick way to apply the same changes to a puppet that has multiple positions (e.g. frontal, left, right position etc..). I am trying to change lip colors on a set of lips. When i use the main dropdown edit, the color is also applied to the inside of the mouth. Is there an option to recolor lips without having to open all lips positions individually?  thanks

It would help to know which program you are using.

In illustrator if you have all your layers visible, you can select the lips, then in the top menu bar click select, > same > fill color and that will select all the lips, if they are the same color and that color isn't used elsewhere.

i am using an illustrator puppet template. I guess every layer needs to be open to get to the lips and not color the interior of the mouth/mask other details. I was also looking at ways to transfer set of mouth between the same puppet in a different position and other puppets in different templates.
