Hunter Puppet Maker body rotating or leaning legs on its own

I am using the Hunter puppet from Puppet Maker.

When the puppet is stopped, or walking via Motion Library, she stands straight up and down.

Note perfect left legs while just standing still (in Stop mode):

When the video is playing, she rotates counter-clockwise by about 5 degrees (or her legs lean back).

Note legs are either rotating or leaning back from waist down (in Play mode):

Is there anything I can do to keep her vertical while just standing there?

Using Fixed pins on Left Quarter or Torso didn't help.

Thank you!

Not 100% sure what you mean by "when the video is playing" - I appreciate it if you can clarify with the actual screen-captured video of what is happening.

Anyway, your problem is most likely because Hunter's left leg is missing a toe tag. I recommend adding a toe handle like this image. I also adjusted the placement of the heel, extended the low-leg stick handle, and added a stick handle at the bottom of the left shoe. This is because IK needs a toe to constrain the rotation of the foot.

Info update.

If I go into Transform and set the Rotation there to -4° to make her appear vertical when she is just standing there, she appears to lean forward 4° when she walks. I will try a keyframe while she is walking to reverse the rotation she needs while she is just standing. I'll keep you posted.

Hi j-saito,

When I click the white square at the bottom of the scene window that says "Stop," the video stops.

When I click the white triangle at the bottom of the scene window that says "Play," the video starts playing.

Thank you for the tip. I saved the link to your post on my laptop so I can come back to it. It solved the rotating problem prior to the walking segment, but the puppet still tries to rotate a little bit after the walking segment. I am going to call it good enough. I need to move on to the next project.

Thanks again for testing and replying to my post. I will definitely use that tip going forward.
