I Keep Losing 'Surprised'

I've got Surprised in my mouth folder and if I click on it in Rig mode, it highlights in the tags window appropriately. But sometimes it works in record and sometimes it goes away. I cannot figure out what is causing this. Smile works all the time and I can't find anything different about how they represent in the various parts of Rig mode or Record.

Any ideas or anything I should check?

    Yeah - I think that's just unreliability of the webcam as a trigger for an open mouth. This is why we do lip sync with audio instead of webcam mouth shapes too. I personally find both it and smile unreliable and - at least for recorded stuff - will untag them and do them solely via manual triggering. But it's an option if people can get it to work.

    Surprised is webcam-based and will only show up if there is no other sound. I find the webcam based triggers harder to do reliably, so I usually just do key triggers for them instead. Next month's tips video will have a guy with a ton of alternative mouths so keep an eye out for that in December.

    I get that, but I find sometimes it works during a sound-free test and sometimes, under the same lighting and performance circumstances, it simply won't appear.
