importing backgrownd video

Hi,' I can"t manage to import a video nor a background work I created in after effects into CH, so I can insert my puppet and edit. please, help !!

That is not supported (feel free to vote for the feature request! I would love this one myself). Instead there are two common options.

- You can import a scene from Ch into After Effects using a feature called "dynamic linking". You can then superimpose that ch scene over your other video assets etc.

- You can export a video using 'export with alpha channel' (transparency). You can then load that video clip into after effects of prem pro etc to layer the video appropriately in front/behind other layers in ae.

 

I find the first approach can be sluggish on my laptop so i normally do the second, but both work

    Thank you, Alan. It seems like I'm going to give up.. too many problems and no way to learn normally these days..
