Is there a way to add cloud document Ai files?

I am using the new cloud document feature on iPad Ai. My intended workflow was character design on my iPad and then bringing those characters into Ch. I can export them and bring them in - but then I lose the value of being able to make changes on the iPad that sync to Ch like they do on the desktop version. Is there a way to import from cloud documents in Ch so that I can work on the characters in Ai on iPad and have them update on my desktop Ch? I have attempted to change the storage location on iPad to both Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Storage (both of which would solve this problem), but no matter what I do, the iPad only syncs my files to cloud documents. Please advise. Thank you!
