Is there a way to change puppet orders in the timeline mid video?

Hi! I know there's a way to arrange the puppet orders in the timeline, but I'm wondering if there's a way to change the order once you've started recording.

For instance, if I wanted puppet A infront of puppet B, but then wanted puppet B in front of puppet A, is there a way to accomplish this without having to duplicate the puppet?
