Question

Is there a way to modify default parameters for face, limb IK, walk and eye gaze behaviours ?

Hi there !

I've been using Character Animator for a year and a half, animated over 150 Youtube shorts and more than an hour and a half of full animation via Character Animator. With all that time spent on Ch, I now know how to proceed whenever I want a new character to be rigged, and that implies changing a few parameters on the properties panel each time I import a new one.

For instance, I don't like the "Head Scale Strenght" nor the "Parallax Streght".

I don't use the Eye Gaze behaviour via the camera, but only through the keyboard arrows.

Same goes for some other behaviour : I change the "Bend Strenght" down to 60% on the Limb IK behaviour, and always put the "Strenght" of the walk behaviour down to 70%.

I could be fine with doing these modifications each time if I had very few characters I need to rig for every new projects, but since I have a lot of them (more than 1500 .ai files on my computer), it is really time consuming.

Is there any way to change the default parameters ?

Thanks in advance !

Press the icon next to the Puppet Track behavior on the scene screen.

The settings will be propagated to the Puppet values in Rig mode.
The settings are then transmitted to the Puppet's default values.

This is useful for replacing a puppet or controlling the settings of an exported puppet.
Thank You.
