Question

Issue with "Compute Head Movement From Speech"

I have a puppet that is just a head with a nutcracker jaw.  Computing the nutcracker jaw works great. During the silence, the jaw doesnt move at all.

But when I compute the head movement, the head is constantly moving. During the silence, the it's still tilting back and forth.

I have not had much luck with that option, regardless of which puppet I use. You'd be better off just isolating the input to just the camera input on the face and doing it manually.

Bummer!

I was wanting to animated prerecorded podcasts, and getting a little head movement when someone was talking would be nice! But when they're bobbing around like a madman all the time it doesn't really work!

I've been exporting the character animator head to After Effects, then tying the head's rotation to the waveform and that works, but makes the export times extremely long. Only works for short clips, not really practical for an hour long podcast.

I've marked it as a bug, hopefully someone will address it soon.
