Limb IK / Arm Rig Issue

Good Day to whoever see this,

I have made 4-5 puppets for character animator and I am running into a reoccuring issues with the limbs of my character. Typically, one of the arms is not as flexible or moves in tandeum with my own. Recently, I found that using a puppet with an arm bent by defualt is close to being perfect, but has issues with one arm. Reworking the puppet to have a default A-pose and one arm doesnt move properly. I have a video to demonstrate my rigs and the issue, I blurred myself out of privacy. If anyone is willing to provide feedback or advice, it would greatly be appreciated!

I can be more specific if you can put your puppet on cloud storage like Dropbox/Google Drive and share a link.

Make sure you have space in between your sticks and pins. If your sticks are extending all the way to your elbow pin you're going to get pinching. If you turn on the Mesh view at the bottom-left of the Puppet panel you can see how the mesh is affected—there's basically no room for the arms to bend cleanly and you get weird pops and twists like in your video. Also, I'm assuming you're doing this, but couldn't tell from the screen recording, make sure you're calibrating before you start recording.

I was, I redid the stick and made sure it gave room between the sticks and pegs. Sadly this did not help much and I think this feature is not going to work for what im doing, I appreciate your advice! Thank you for replying!

I think I had the same problem when I started CA.

Try to :

- Twist your character arms in such a way the angle between the arm and the forearm is less than 180° (see the file I attached)

- Re-rig your character

Also, try to put down the arm bend to 60% instead of 90%.

By doing this, you will only be able to twist your arm to your belly's character, unfortenately.

To be honest, this feature is not optimized yet, you'd better add a draggable label of the wrists of your characters and use your mouse to move them around, the results are way better and made way faster.

Hope I helped.
