opening a template

When I open a template everything seems to open but the puppet doesn't appear.  Also, is there a way to copy a few layers to a PSD flie from character Annimator?

    When you import a puppet, you get a puppet in the project area (the little image of a person), but you have to put the puppet into a scene to make it appear. I would suggest starting with some of the Adobe tutorials, or have a look at https://extra-ordinary.tv/2018/10/22/project-wookie-a-beginner-youtube-playlist/ the first few episodes, just to get you going.

    Regarding copy PSD layers from CH, what you do is select “Edit original” inside CH and it will start up Photoshop/Illustrator on the artwork file for the current puppet. They you can copy from there. (You cannot copy from CH.)
