Photoshop vs Illustrator for Character Animator

Trying to create a puppet in CA- but when I click the PS icon to edit the image, it launches AI instead of PS. How do I get it to open in PS?

One you import the original artwork into Ch, I used "Edit Original" from the menu to make sure I edit the right file.

*If* the OS has the wrong file bindings (.psd files are opening in Illustrator), the easiest to describe solution is to uninstall and reinstall Illustrator and Photoshop. Takes a while, but easy to describe! It reassigns the file extension bindings as part of the process. (The hard way to describe is to check the OS file bindings to applications and fix them if wrong. Don't ask me how though!)
