Problems transferring Chproj files

Hi,

I just received a project folder from a colleague - and I can not open it. I get this error. 

"libgit2 error - 3/(4/revspec "HEAD" not found returnd from git_revparse_single"

I have a group of people creating animations for me, which they will then need to upload to a server for me to retrieve. I am wondering if this error is related to Ch media or Ch data files not being saved in the same folder as the .chproj.
