I have a similar problem, though i'm using Windows 10. Premiere and Da Vinci Resolve both "crash" when I plug the external monitor in which is really annoying. I have tried restarting them, updating graphics drivers, and even reseting my computer but nothing seems to do the trick.

Could you report that issue wiith Premiere Pro in the Premiere Pro user forum? Premiere Pro CC  The folks there might be able to provide additional guidance. Thanks.

Are both monitors connected to the AMD graphics, or is one connect to the discrete graphics AMD card and the other is connected to a built-in/integrated graphics Intel graphics? If the latter, we've contacted AMD about this problem.

If you open System Information and then go to Components > Graphics, what do you see?

Thanks.
