Reconnect ai file to Adobe Puppet sample after renaming file

hi, 

Can anyone please help me reconnect my ai file to the puppet sample? I mistakenly saved the ai file under a different name and it is no longer connecting to the puppet. I went back and updated the name to be listed as the name of the original file but do not see any changes. Are there any other steps to take? thanks

You could copy the modified AI file back over the original file, or if you single click on a puppet in the "project" panel then look over on the right in the "Properties" panel, the first property should be "Path" which is the path name of the artwork file.  You can click on the property path and update the path name to the new location of the file.

thanks. i will try this next time it happens since i ended up starting over again. I also noticed that changes can sometimes take some time to upload in character animation. One other observation is that it is best to apply changes to the puppet selecting layers in the layer panels first as opposed to groupping and ungrouping in the canvas. I learned this the hard way because my layer panel was all over the place.
