Recording draggable pins

Hello, everyone,

I have an arm with 3 pins, one of them is draggable, the arm has a dragger behavior. I record a movement using the dragger behavior leaving the arm in a different position but when I wish to create a new recording from the position I left of, I can't because the pin returns to the default position.

Is there something I can do to record from the last place I left it in?

There are a few techniques (but it is a pain):

  • Guess! (What you are probably doing now)
  • Add a second dragger and record one or the other. This video at around 10 mins in has an example - this one shows draggers for different purposes, but the idea is the same. You arm one dragger, then you go back and arm a second dragger and record it. The first one shows then Project Wookie, Episode 12: Floating Puppet Movement - YouTube
  • Overlap the recordings a bit and guess, then blend Between the two recordings to smooth out the transition. You can grab the little square in the top left corner of your new recording and drag it to the right to create the blend.  (Episode 9 of the above series has lots of examples of blends, for a different purpose but might be useful Project Wookie, Episode 9: Moving Puppets Linearly - YouTube )
