Question

Replay doesn't play back accurately

I have a character holding an ice cream cone and I have recorded a replay of him licking the ice cream cone. When I right-click the replay, choose Edit Replay, and play it back, it plays back as intended.

When I trigger the replay or insert in into the timeline during a recording, one of the frames does not display accurately and shows the ice cream cone upside down. It is very obvious and distracting.

I’ve attached a quick recording of the Edit Replay view and a screenshot of the incorrect frame.

Any ideas how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Based on the video, it looks like the puppet has switched from the licking position to the hand outstretched position just a little bit early. It is understandably a challenge to get the program to execute the timeline precisely the way you need it to. One thing you might try is to create three separate replays for the action, with each hand swap isolated from the other replays in order to make sure the desired action is complete before the puppet swaps hands. Then you could create a recording with all 3 replays happening in order, and you could make a new replay out of that sequence.

Thanks for the tips. I will give it a try.
