Rigging Issues with Text

Question

Hi,I'm trying to create a scene with a title for my short cartoon. I have a layer of the text in color in Adobe Illustrator which for some reason is not visible in Animator. The white background text (which will create a little motion via Cycle Layers) is visible in Animator. Any ideas? Here are a few photos:

Not all special effects are supported... I think if yo use a smart group or something illustrator renders it? I don't recall sorry, but there were some tricks. Gradients don't work for example (not sure why). Basically rasterize the image somehow before bringing it into ch and that should fix it.
