Students download Character Animator, but they all keep getting errors

I am trying to start a lesson with Character Animator, but my students (a public school) keep getting error messages. Some can get started, and then it stops, and others it begins right when the character is selected.  I think it may be a storage issue, but not sure or how to fix.  Here are the two errors that have been reported:

Internal error code: (1109000933:67+8) bad argument #1 to "Localize" (string expected, got nil)

and the other

The Directory "\\laneyfs.nhcs\students$\student.name\Adobe\CharacterAnimator' could not be created.  Please check the validity of the path or parent directory protection or permission rights.

Does the last one mean I need to have them download it to their offline storage? Thanks for any help.

Yes, CH does not work well with the cloud. Downloading the app and working locally should fix your problems.
