swap set in character animator switches after recording.

I'm learning Character animator and just learning about swap sets. I created a swap set with a left forearm that has thumb up and one that has thumb down (just like the right arm). The left forearm looks fine while recording (thumbs up)  but then the playback shows the wrong forearm (thumb down) For context,  I created two arms and am animating them in two passes. using 2 dragger behaviors as it says to do in the tutorial.  The first trigger for the right arm worked fine but the second ( for the left one is not recording correctly). Any idea whats going on? Thanks!

For the thumb up and thumb down triggers in the swap set, is one of them set as a default trigger? Can you show a screenshot of how those are set up in the Triggers panel?

The above panel shows the trigger setup for both arms.

It seems like the triggers are set up in an expected way.

When you're playing the scene back, is the Arm for Record button for the puppet track red or not? If it's red, does clicking it to disarm the puppet, allow playback to look correct?
