The coloration I used in Illustrator disappears in Character Animator

Question

There is a picture of the image in Illustrator and picture of the image when it goes into Character Animator.

I have worked on it for about 5 hours and now I've figured to take it 'upstairs' to the community.

Someone please tell me what I am missing so I can move forward with this project!

I have also posted in the Illustrator community in case it's something I've done wrong in there.

Not all Illustrator features are supported, such as clipping (which is what I think you are using). I think there was some way to get it to work - you could hunt around the forums to find discussions.  Sorry, a novice Illustrator user. But it was using a smart object or something that caused Illustrator to cache the result, which CH could then use - something like that. I just avoid using masking in Illustrator. There are only a few features not supported.
