Hello all

I am new on character animator. and I have a question: How could we let walk at least two puppets at the same time on character animator?

I want to simulate an event where people are walking claiming their rights.

Thank you in advance

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you are willing to move two puppets together. I agree with @alank.

I searched for it and found a discussion around the same topic. Check it out: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Character-Animator/How-do-you-make-2-puppets-move-in-one-video-on-character/td-p/9275437

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Shivangi

Is it live or a recorded scene? If a recorded scene, arm the first puppet walking and record it, then move the playhead back and arm the second puppet and record that. You can arm one puppet at a time in the scene and do whatever editing etc you want to it.  Then go off and do the second one.

I have not tried out the latest release out today, but walking used to have problems with the character not sticking to the timeline (moving the playhead would not move the puppet in sync). This is a bit of a pain to be honest. There is the scene refresh button that can bring the character back on the screen, but it is just a problem you have to deal with.

Thenks for your reaction Alank I've animated a puppet (walk cycle) I would like animated a second and third ones etc,, and make them walking side by side.  Making puppets walking side by side using character animator is my goal
