Two questions. Adding walking to puppets and or motion library

I am still using the puppet maker animal puppet and I am trying to add walking via the video okay samurai walking tutorial. I have some questions though. This premade puppet has one arm behind him and one in front of him as I look down the layer set up noting that one arm is not under body but seperate that stumped me as how to proceed through the video process if anyone has done this before and would be willing to share the extra steps needed or if it is to complicated I will just have to use another puppet at some point to get walking. Also my next question is it possible to add motion library to this puppet or is the motion library only available to those puppets that users have already created it with it perhaps a very involved process. Either way thank you! Loving this app so far but I am feeling like a baby learning it.

Let's start with the second question first. Yes, you can convert almost any puppet to use the Motion Library. I say almost, because some of the puppet do not have the properly separated leg layers necessary for the behavior to work ideally. (It will still work - I've used it on puppets without any legs at all.)

To enable the Motion Library on a puppet, you need to have 3 behaviors: Motion Library, Limb IK, and Body behavior all in the same layer, usually the root layer - the same layer that contains the puppet's name. This page will give you more information: Motion Library

As for the first question, I'm a little unclear on what you are describing. Is the other arm not part of the body set?

Okay. It looks like the left arm is placed so that it can pass in front of the head. Is that important to you? If not, then the layer set can be moved down into the body set.

However, I am not sure that if the arm is properly rigged, why it wouldn't work with the walk cycle.

Another thing to keep in mind with this puppetmaker puppet is that once you start modifying the rigging (including adding the motion library behaviors) there's a good chance that the built-in replays will stop working. If you do decide to add the motion library behaviors, make sure that you find and remove any Limb IK behaviors elsewhere in the puppet.
