I have just finished a stream with Adobe Character Animator and when i went in to use charaacterizer the screen says "Waiting for Camera"  - audio is working and in Character Animator the camera/audio are all working fine. Just the Characterizer capture isnt working. Any solutions?

I am using macOS Catalina 10.15.7 on a iMac Retina 4K 21.5" 2019 - 3GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM / Character Animator 3.3.1

Hello,

You mentioned you were streaming.  I was wondering if you had any virtual camera software installed on your Mac?  This software can sometimes cause problems with normal camera operations.

Also, I was wondering if there might be another app trying to access the camera at the same time as Ch?  While macOS allows multiple apps to share the same camera, some apps don't play nice and won't relinquish control of the camera.

Characterizer uses a different capture mode on the camera than is normally used for Ch face tracking.  If another program prevents Characterizer from setting the camera mode it is possible that Characterizer might not be able to start properly.

Hi,

Sorry about this.

Since Camera is working in Camera & Microphone panel, I assume OS privacy setting is correct.

Do you have more than 1 camera attached? If so, can you select the camera working in Camera & Microphone panel?

All cameras are listed in Characterizer -> Camera hamburger menu. This screenshot shows only 1 camera, but if you have multiple, they are listed here.

Thanks.
