waiting for camera. PLEASE ASSIST

Hello,

I've read through all the forums and cannot find an answer to this question. I'm working off of a Windows 11. everything is up to date and using the latest version of character animator. but everytime I turn on the webcam it will turn on for 2 seconds then image will flip off  then get a "waiting for camera message" even though the camera light is still on. my camera works on all other apps. Character animator is the only app that is open and i've tried restarting and uninstalling then reinstalling. im running out of ideas. PLEASE HELP

I think this has been resolved. I bought an external webcam and that worked but for some reason Character animator won't work with internal webcam. Thanks for your help though!

This almost always means CH can't find the camera because it's being used by something else. I know you said you shut down all other apps - is there possibly another USB webcam or something you can borrow or try to see if that works?

And is this a built-in webcam or an external one (can you tell us the make/model)? Are the drivers all up to date?
