CF 2021 Admin not saving "on complete" values in Scheduled Task

Hi, We're in the process of upgrading from CF v11 to 2021 and have encountered a problem saving a value in the "On Complete" box (after clicking "Show Additional Tasks") to execute chaining.  That is, I enter the value in "On Complete" and click the "Submit"; even though the "The scheduled task has been updated successfully" message appears next, when I return to see the "On Complete" box it's back to being empty.

This occurs both on RHEL v8 (server) and local Windows PC (client).  I also tried the recent hot fix 1 released last month, as it cited a similar issue being fixed in CF Admin, but still no luck.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thanks.

You're right. I could reproduce it on a Windows 10 server.

It works as expected, but the "On Complete" box went back to being empty. You should report a bug. Let us know after you do. Then we can vote to get it fixed quicker.

    Additional remarks:

    • /lib/neo-cron.xml shows that ColdFusion does save the On-Complete setting.
    • /logs/scheduler.log shows that the scheduled task, as well as the chained tasks, do in fact run.

Hi BKBK, Thanks for your posts and especially appreciate your citing the specific files.  I'm still getting the problems, however, i.e., 1) cannot see the On-Complete value in CF 2021 Admin despite getting messages that it was successful and 2) cannot get the chained job (specified in the On-Complete of the calling job) to execute.

Again, your citing the specific, relevant files was very helpful and here's what I found:

    1) yes, /lib/neo-cron.xml does show the saved value - though it still fails to display in CF 2021 Admin

    2) no, /logs/scheduler.log doesn't show the chained task running, though the log does show the initial job (which specifies the On-Complete value) getting triggered

I'll continue investigating, but seems like there is still a bug minimally in that the On-Complete value is not being displayed, though it is saved in /lib/neo-cron.xml

Thanks, again, for your response and any future guidance.
