Hi We're in the process of setting up our new Windows 2016 server running ColdFusion 2018 with Update 1 installed. We run MySQL 8 and are using the most current Connector (mysql-connector-java-8.0.13.jar).We're having a problem with a SELECT statement when the only field chosen is a DATETIME field that is only being used for the time section. The returned value from the database is '0000-00-00 00:01:00' (ie 1 hour). SELECT Employee_LunchBreak_Length FROM t_EmployeeWHERE t_Employee_ID = '1'The query above returns a 500 error and creates the following entry in the Application log."Error Executing Database Query.Zero date value prohibited The specific sequence of files included or processed is: (*path to template*)"The query works in both MySQL Workbench and in PHP without issue. Hello,We are having an issue with CPU loading on our server.  It has to do with Client Storage Purge. I see where this issue has been around for a while but could not find a solid solution.  Our sever is running Windows Server 2003 Standard and ColdFusion 8.  There is only one ecommerence website utilizing CF and the database is MSSQL.The server average CPU usage is between 5% and 10%.  Then this appears in the log; 03/30 05:56:34 Information [scheduler-3] - Run Client Storage Purge.  The CPU usage jumps to 50% to 80% for about 4 to 5 hours.  Then after it settles back down, with in the next few hours it starts over again.Settings,ColdFusion Administrator > Server Settings > Client VariablesSelect Default Storage Mechanism for Client Sessions is set to RegistryPurge Interval is set to 1 hour and 7 minutes.Now, my working knowledge of ColdFusion is not at an expert level.  I really do not know what Client Storage Purge is doing, what client varia

I'm running CF 10 Developer (64-bit) (using IIS) on top of Windows 2008R2 (64-bit). Hi,We migrated from CF2011 to CF2018 and then ORM is breaking the EntitySave method and we are getting below error message.Error Message - The root cause of this exception was: coldfusion.orm.hibernate.HibernateSessionException: Batch update returned unexpected row count from update [0]; actual row count: 0; expected: 1.We have 2 classes with one-to-many relationship like Email.cfc(parent) and EmailItems.cfc(child). When we try to save Email.cfc object the hybernate crates a UPDATE query for EmailItems as well and this is happening with CF2018 only.Here is the defined property in Email.cfc.<cfproperty name="EmailItems" lazy="true" fieldtype="one-to-many" inverse="true" fkcolumn="EmailID" cfc="EmailItem" singularName="EmailItem" type="struct" structkeycolumn="EmailItemKey" structkeytype="string" cascade="none"/>We are using inverse and it still create a UPDATE query for child class 'EmailItems' which is the reason for failing EntitySave(Email).Everything works fine with CF2011.Tha

ColdFusion 11 offers a new feature to preserve the case of struct keys during JSON serialization. Trouble is it does not work for me (OSX 10.9.4).The documentation mentions 2 ways to get this working (although it is supposed to be on by default).In application.cfc, set this.serialization.preservecaseforstructkey = trueIn the ColdFusion administrator settings page, check 'Preserve case for Struct keys for Serialization'Neither of these work. Stopping and Starting ColdFusion does not help.No matter what, I always get the keys converted to UPPERCASE, just like in CF10 and earlier.This would be a great feature to have working. Is it a bug? In the past I have always had success connecting data sources.  However, I am really struggling connecting both my Oracle database and my MySQL databases to CF16.  I believe I have the drivers in place but no matter what I do I still am cursed with  the "No suitable driver available" message.Trying to connect to Oracle 12c and MySQL latest version 8.For oracle I am using what i did with CF11 and that is the jdbc oracle thin driver.For MySQL I am using jdbc mysql driver.Both are located in the /cfroot/cfusion/lib directory (or at least I think they are).Any help would be appreciated.ThanksJK

Hi team,i have installed coldfusion 2018 on the server, configured IIS. Now when i visit admin page it shows freezed search bar and i am unable to do anything.

I have an application that allows users to upload multi-worksheet Excel files.  I use CFSpreadsheet to parse these files and import the data.  The processing can take anywhere from a minute to several minutes.  The first worksheet contains data that dictates which additional worksheets require processing during the import.While doing some load testing, I noticed that if two users upload files, the second user has to wait for the first user process to finish before it works.  I have added CFLOG statements throughout my application, and done some simplified test scenarios (where I just read one worksheet and dump the result) that prove to me there is a blocking situation.  Has anyone else seen this situation?  Is there a way around this?

Hello, all,I'm a bit confused about something, and I hope someone can set me straight.According to a blog entry (from four years ago) by Adam Cameron, Adobe initially created a CFSCRIPT version of CFSAVECONTENT, and it was called "savecontent", which falls into step with the typical CFSCRIPT implementation of CF tags (ie, remove "CF" from the tag for the CFSCRIPT version.)But according to Adam's blog entry, CF11 changed it to "cfsavecontent".Now, we develop in CF10, but our production servers run CF11.  So, am I to understand that "savecontent" does not work in CF11???  Do I have to write conditionals and double my code in order to get it to work in both development (CF10) and production (CF11)?  Or is it backwards compatible, and "savecontent" will work in both versions?V/r,^ _ ^

Hello, all,Is it possible to use CFMAIL to send an encrypted email using a PKI resource instead of a .p7c cert file?Looking at the help docs for CFMAIL, you have to have a local copy of the receiver's certificate, and include the path/file as one of the attributes.Seeing as how email clients like Outlook can reach out to a PKI to encrypt an email, can CFMAIL do the same??V/r,^ _ ^

I have code like this<cfoutput>#calculated_value# </cfoutput>Then More code...................Then the Calculations code is done here to get the calculated value.Then More code...................The issue I have is that I need to output the calculated_value before I calculate it later in the page.I guess I could move the Calculations code to above the cfoutput, but it's not as easy as it sounds.Is there a way for the entire page to load, but not output.... do the calculations code to get the calculated_value  and then output the entire page with the calculated_value  shown at the top?

CF2018 Server Standard (installed in development mode)IIS 8.5Windows Server 2012 R2So I've installed Server 2018 Standard upto Hotfix 1. At the time of installation there were 2 sites in IIS, these are both configured when I open the WSCONFIG.EXE (using Run As Administrator... I am an administrator on the box anyway).I have added a 3rd website and cannot configure it with WSCONFIG.When WSCONFIG opens it says. Total Websites 3, Configurable 2. See screenshot.Once the 2 that are configurable have been configured then trying to add any new gets the error shown below.CF2016 was previously installed on this server, it was uninstalled via the uninstaller before CF2018 was installed.What am I missing that is stopping WSCONFIG being able to configure the site?Thanks

I upgraded to CFBuilder 2016 from CFB3 and I select multiple lines all the time and indent by hitting the tab key.  In CFB3 I never noticed an issue, but with CFB2016 it takes 5+ seconds to just have it indent or unindent.  My Java Heap space shows I have plenty of memory.  Any ideas of what would be causing this?

Currently we have servers running on Coldfusion 11 Update 14 and the windows version is 2008 R2. Our company is planning to migrate from windows 2008 to 2016. My questions are* Does CF 11 update 14 servers support windows 2016?* Will the migration be smooth?* Will the application running be smooth after the migration?* Will it affect the back end database connection?Thank you.

Hello folks,I inherited some cold-fusion web servers at my organization from another sysadmin who is no longer with the organization. I intend to build some new cold-fusion 2018 web servers, and am planning for that now.The previous sysadmin assigned one unique IP address per website. He only filled out the hostname for the port 80 binding, and no hostname for the port 443 binding on each site. This strategy uses a LOT of IP addresses. I am trying to be efficient, and looking for a better way. I think I see how to do this, but am looking for confirmation, or any gotchas I may run into.I have been doing some reading, it appears with IIS I can bind many websites (around 80 sites) to just one IP address (only assign one IP address to the server) using the standard ports (port 80 and 443). Since the same IP address and port numbers will be used on all 80 sites, the unique identifier would be the hostname I identify in the binding (url for the website).
