We are migrating from an ancient MX7 on MS Server 2008 to MS Server 2016 (IIS10) and CF2016.  Lingering problems exist when testing the new setup.  Why Access? That is a common question, to be sure. We are beginning the learning curve for SQL Express 2016. (Just two old self-taught CF dudes)We were able to successfully install MS Access drivers with HTXX drivers via the CF Admin DataSource page. Hi,Running Cold Fusion 11, 32 bit environment, SQL Server 2008.The SQL Server port 1433 has a cert installed due to the data.When accessing the SQL database from the Cold Fusion application, receiving the message:The SQL Server login requires an SSL connection.Prior to the cert install, could access the database.Is there anything in the Cold Fusion administrator that can be set?If not, what would be the specific instructions?Is there a specific version of Java that should be installed?Thanks for your help,Mike

I am in the process of rebuilding our server that is running ColdFusion.  I am having trouble getting the ODBC services to install and run properly which I need to be able to connect to some MS Access databases.Configuration:Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bitWebSphere 6.1ColdFusion 8  (when installed shows as version 8,0,0,176276)The installation of ColdFusion and deployment to WebSphere seemed to be ok.  CF seemed to be working until I tried configuring an MS Access database. What I found was:"ColdFusion 8 ODBC Server" appeared in the services but would not start."ColdFusion 8 ODBC Agent" did not appear in the services.I tried following the documented processes to manually remove and install the ODBC services, however when I run the install, I get HTTP 500 errors.  Digging deeper I found that the configuration files that I was supposed to copy in referenced locations that were not where CF was installed.  I made changes to those files to hopefully fix the

Upgraded from CF7 Enterprise on Windows to CF8 Enterprise. After the installation, the "ColdFusion 8 ODBC Agent" and "ColdFusion 8 ODBC Server" services are not started. Tried to start them manually and the directory where the services point to (D:\ColdFusion8\db\slserver54\bin\...) is missing. Of course when you go to the Administrator and add a new datasource, I get a message that the ColdFusion ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed. How do I install it?? I have uninstalled CF8 and reinstalled it 3 times trying to get it to install. The server is Windows2003 Standard Edition. IIS. Ideas??

Hi,I am using ColdFusion11 version 11,0,03,292480 with java 8 installed and am using the coldfusion API setMSSQL function to create an mssql datasource.  The datasource is a named instance and when it is created I get the below error when it tries to verify:java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Conflicting connection information. When the instance name is specified, it is invalid to specify the port number. is there a way to use ColdFusion session management without writing a ColdFusion app where each page is a separate .CFM file?  (We're running ColdFusion 11, btw).I have an Angular 2 SPA, and I'm using AJAX to call .CFC files on the back-end to read and write data to and from our server.  I've never used ColdFusion session-management before, and I have literally no idea where to start.All of the documentation I've read about using Application.cfc for session-management seems to assume that you're going to have a ColdFusion app wherein each page is a separate .CFM file.  Clearly that's not going to work for me.  So how do I get it to work with a single-page-application that is not a .CFM file?Thanks,Laurence MacNeillBall Ground, Georgia, USA

Just recently CF 2016 refused to start and I found out, from viewing the error logs, that my neo-security.xml got corrupted.  I do not have a neo-security.bak file.  Is there anywhere I can get a rudimentary neo-security.xml file just to get things going?  I realize that all my datasources and other settings will be lost, but at least getting the application server running so I can get to CF Administrator will be a big step forward.

Hey there-I'm an editor full time and have finally taken a project on Adobe Premiere after working on Avid and at times FCP for the last 12 years.  I'm pretty sure I know the answer already, but is there a way to add more buttons to the button options in the button editor on the source and record monitors?  Seems like this is a pretty basic feature that a lot of people would probably want for customizing their setup and unfortunately I think that the buttons provided in the button edtior are all Premiere users are given to work with for customizing.  Thanks.

Recently updated to Cf 11 update 12 to address the tomcat security bug. Previously ColdFusion had never been updated(wasn't around during this time). Now after update all I get are 500 errors when trying to load a cfm page. I have removed and re-added the connectors, not sure what else to do beyond this point as I am new to coldfusion.Sitting on Windows Server 2012 R2, with IIS as Web Server.

I have just switched over to coldfusion 2016 on windows 2012 with IIS 8 and can't get the server to process .htm pages as .cfm. I am working on databases programming using ColdFusion Builder 2016. I have to use Microsoft Access database 2010 with CF.I have downloaded AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe (Access Database Engine 2010, 64-bit) from MS site and installed it. I created a System Data Source using System DSN from a 64-bit ODBC Data Souce.However, when I tried to create a Data Source (with exactly same name) by selecting the "Microsoft Access" driver type choice from ColdFusion administrator, I had the error message: The ColdFusion ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed. Previously, I tried to create a CF data source with 32-bit version Access Database Engine installed, but it didn't work.  So I removed it and installed a 64-bit version, but it still doesn't work.So, how to install ColdFusion ODBC Server service and how to get the MS Access data source in the CF Administrator, so that I can use it in my CF program?Thank you.

hi there, I am maintaining a website which was originally built on fusebox (not by myself).I'm keep getting this error:undefined CircuitYou specified a Circuit of home which is not defined.Now the weird thing is that it throws the error and 1 sec later you can load the same page with no issues.  Then you browse to the next page it gives the error you refresh the page and it loads correctly.It looks like it needs more 'time' to work properly.Anyone has come across similar ? Is this a CF server issue or fusebox itself ?Thanks

I am having an issue trying to run a ColdFusion form using F-11 or pressing the run key. It will not load the default browser no matter what I do. I can type the address into a browser and it works fine.  Does anyone have any idea what I have setup incorrectly. I am using ColdFusion 2016 Browser.Thank so much in advance.Ian Knowles

This is on a CF9 server on Windows 2008We do a lot of writing to and then including from, the VFS (Virtual File System). Very intermittently, we get these errors when attempting to write to the RAM disk. Retrying the failed WRITE operation usually succeeds.The filename is always a unique file name created with createUUID() in the filename.I have read that this stack trace error is related to deleting items from an array while accessing it at the same time. Do I need to lock all access to the VFS?
