Hello all,I am running CF2021 version 5. Should I SKIP 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and upgrade to 16 directly? or I have to upgrade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16?Thank you

As with the previous version, I am unable to install CF2023 on my Mac running Ventura 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a). When I try to run the installer it is not allowed until I click "Allow Anyway" in the Privacy and Security settings. Then I run the installer again and this time the same thing happens for "java".  But even when I click "Allow Anyway" amd rerun the installer I always get stuck at the "java" part.  Very frustrating.  I had the exact same issue before and it was never solved.  I assume no one on the ColdFusion team acatully tried to install it in on OSX? Any help or thoughts?

Hey CF Community! I'm a new System Administrator for my college and I've started taking over some applications that run CF2021. Recently, while working in my lower environment I have been unable to start the ColdFusion Application Server. When I run the cfstart.bat to check for errors, I get the following: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: =TRUECaused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: =TRUEat java.base/jdk.internal.loader.BuiltinClassLoader.loadClass(BuiltinClassLoader.java:581)at java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoaders.java:178)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:521) I did not make any updates to CF so I am unsure why I am getting this error all of a sudden. If more info is needed to debug the issue let me know and I will provide it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,  After I upgraded ColdFusion 2023 to the latest version (build 10), the version of Java located in the "jre" folder under the "ColdFusion2023" directory  was still just "17.0.6".   It looks like Java version is supposed to be at version "17.0.10". Are the updates supposed to upgrade Java as well, or do I need to update them separately?Thanks!

I recently installed CF 2023 and from the CF Admin console I chose the option to Download and Install the latest update (update 10).  I noted that hotfix-010-330680.jar was downloaded  to <cf_root>\bundles\updateinstallers\, but other than that, no install was kicked off.  Tried the option 2 or 3 times. So I decided to go the manual route (ColdFusion (2023 release) Update 10 (adobe.com)).  Step 1, download the hotfix... simple.  The part I question is steps 2 & 3 which state to download a file named hotfix-packages-cf2023-010-330680.zip, upzip it to a location, and then  "Update "packagesurl" in cfusion/lib/neo_updates.xml of cfusion and all its child instances to point to <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath>/bundles/bundlesdependency.json present inside the downloaded folder." With <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath> being the path where the hotfix-packages-cf2023-010-330680.zip file was extracted.&

I am on 2021 update 10 i see they now have 16. My question is that i have been reading some of these posts and it seems a few of these updates are doozies, meaning really things i need to watch out for and test my code with beforehand? Is there any easy document that will tell you or where to look for each one that would clearly explain? i know one of them deals with some patch you can put a few versions early and check log file to make sure your coding is okay? anything else major? Adobe has got me scared to update anything now and when i do should i do one patch at a time? Been with CF since 4.0 and i am not sure if its age or whatever but these updates seem to be getting scarier and sloppier or over the years.

Hello, Have an issue running a scheduled task on CF2018. Hitting the url in a browser window it runs fine, but via the schedule task when I output to a file all im getting in the file is error code: 1010 Not seeing anything wrong in execption.log or scheduler.log. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

I maintain a site that was originally created in CF over 12 years ago. It's massive, and frankly the non-profit can't afford a total redo. Some of the sections used CFgrid to allow updating multiple records at once. My problem is that it's a shared server and CFC files are blocked. I've found solutions, but they all require CFC files.

Is there a ColdFusion roadmap that goes beyone 2023?  I have reviewed the current roadmap posted and it goes up to 2028ish but that appears to simply be the EOL of CF 2023.

In ColdFusion, we generated an OAuth token to send notifications. However, due to the limitations of FCM HTTP v1, we cannot send notifications to multiple devices at once. To overcome this, we found a solution: using a TOPIC to subscribe device tokens. Recently I upgraded to CF2023 version. I observed a strange behaviour with a .cfc file that is included in one of the .cfml files using cfinclude tag. When I run that CFML file, it displays form as well as the contenet of the .cfc page on the top of the page. Please see the attached screenshot for the same. I dont see this issue in CF2016. Does the CF2023 not support .cfc files? Can some help me in this please?  

Hi, The XMLtransform function is throwing an error on our DEV server; our other 3 servers are fine. The JVM flag -Dcoldfusion.xml.allowPathCharacters=true has been applied. I am just the programmer but our system admin ask me to post this issue to see if there is another solution we can try.  XMLtransform was working fine until changes were made to get the PDF generator working. It took a few attempts on DEV before it was successful and the changes applied to the other servers. Hello community, I installed  ColdFusion Builder Extension for Visual Studio Code Followed all the steps enabled RDS and enabled debugging in CF Admin. Created workspace and Project. When I run and debug the application code is going throught the debugging process, the variable are showing as blank in watch window What could be the issue

I have a 2016 coldfusion server installed on a virtual machine (8gb cpu and 16gb ram) running windows 2012 r2.The system cannot support many users simultaneously.With jmeeter I tested a simple page that creates a loop from 1 to 10K showing the output and if I run the request with 100 users, the CF application is super slow.CPU rises to 30% and ram stays at 80%.Can someone help me?Thank you

I have a server that is running ColdFusion 2018.  I'm running the CF2023 installer and get to this screen: Accrording to the official online documentation (Install the server configuration (adobe.com)) it says:Previous Serial Number: Enter the serial number of a previously installed version of ColdFusion. Enter this number along with the serial number for the new ColdFusion installation.Use the previous serial number if you upgrading ColdFusion from a previous version. What I don't understand is why the Previous Serial Number text box remains greyed out and allowing no input no matter what what choices are made.  I can input my CF2023 Enterprise serial and get the green checkmark, but the Previous Serial Number remains greyed out.  I tried check the check box options which also made no difference.  I do have the CF2018 Enterprise key to provide if it would let me.  Could it be that it's because I'm upgrading from CF2018 and not CF2021? I'm a

After installing Update 14 on CF2021, we're seeing intermittent query errors with the message [Oracle JDBC Driver]arraycopy: destination index -1 out of bounds.   Could this be a driver issue?  We're connecting to an Oracle 19c v19.23.0.0.0.  I see several ojdbc jar files on the web server; ojdbc8.jar being the highest version.     Any thoughts?   [Editorial: Corrected the update number reported here, based on subsequent information provided in this thread.)

Is it possible to do an in place upgrade of Coldfusiton 2018 to 2023?  Keep it on the same server and just update the version of coldfusion?  If we install it on the system and have both versions of Coldfusion on the server, how do we reconfigure it so it uses the correct version?  Can we uninstall the old version once the new version is installed?
