you need to cancel during the trial to avoid a fee.  and that fee is refunded if you cancel within 1 week of the trial ending.

after that there's a charge (=1/2 the remaining fees) if you canncel an annual subscription before the subscription's end.

you can discuss with adobe support.  there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
