There is Photoshop Elements, which has a one time payment:

https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html

as well as many free alternatives.

Nobody here has anything to do with company policy - you need to contact Adobe
Adobe, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704 USA Tel: 408-536-6000 Fax: 408-537-6000

you shouldn't expect a personal response.  if there's a change in policy, adobe will make a public (not personal) announcement.

Unlikely. "You make enough money" doesn't seem to be a relevant philosophy to those in charge of US companies (ie US shareholders), who will sack the bosses if profits drop. Photoshop is already half price compared to the other apps, and before subscription it was $600 - five years' subscription! An Adobe insider fought long and hard to get the photography plan... I think there are significant voices who are sure it would be more profitable at $20 a month.
