4-month Creative Cloud Pro trial from Coursera partner link says not eligible at checkout (AU)

Hi all,

I am a Coursera learner enrolled in the Image Editing course of the Adobe Graphic Designer Professional Certificate. The course resources contain a partner offer for a 4-month free trial of Creative Cloud Pro, with a Claim your free trial now link that opens Adobe checkout.

Situation:

- Adobe ID created brand new for this offer. No prior Creative Cloud subscription and never used any trial before.

- Account Country/Region: Australia

- Step 1 of the checkout displays the offer correctly: Creative Cloud Pro, 4-month free trial, Due now A$0.00

- As soon as I submit the payment information I get: Sorry, you are not eligible for a free trial of Creative Cloud Pro. Agree and subscribe below to start a new paid subscription.

What I have already ruled out:

- Tried both the US and the AU storefront versions of the same offer link

- Tried two different newly created Adobe IDs, identical result

- Billing country and postcode match the card

Payment method is an Australian-issued virtual Mastercard.

Question: is this account-level, or is the card type (virtual/prepaid) the reason the trial check fails? And can the 4-month trial be applied to the account manually?

Thanks for any pointer.
