A cancellation fee after a year subscription is not legal in NL
Hi,
Since for the life of me cannot find a single link to any form of support directly from Adobe I'm forced to post this here. I've tried the blue 'Contact' button, that leads me to this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/nl/contact/what-contact-options.html#. This speaks of a chat function, but without a link to the actual chat. I've Googled for an instruction to the chat.. but they refer to the same blue button: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/how-to-initiate-chat-with-adobe-support/td-p/10416376
I've tried this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/nl/support.html? where below there's the statement 'Contact: real support from real people'. But yet again they send me to the page above.
Feels like they're actively trying to avoid people contacting them and it's making me furious.
After years of enjoying my subscription I've come to the conclusion I no longer need it. I am however presented with a a cancellation fee. As I am a resident of the Netherlands, NL law applies. NL law clearly states that after the first year subscriptions cannot be renewed for another year, only for a month.
I'd like to speak to someone from Adobe who can clear me of my fee and cancel my subscription. I'm sure Adobe is aware of this, external forums are full of complaints and other cases. Again, I'm not a fan of these kinds of trickery at the cost of customers.
If Adobe is not aware, well then what other laws and rules are not respected, e.g. privacy-wise?
Adobe you had such a great reputation in my head the past years. But not being able to instantly cancel my subscription OR atleast finding a way to contact you directly.. this did you no good. 😞
