Account, Payment, & Plan

Thread summary

The user, a Design student, could not subscribe to the Creative Cloud plan for Students because the payment page would not process the transaction. The user tried multiple credit and debit cards, and their banks confirmed that no charge attempts or declines were being registered on their end, suggesting the issue was on Adobe's payment gateway.

Troubleshooting steps / guidance mentioned by other participants

  • John T Smith (Community Expert) suggested confirming that the account country, credit card details, and store all matched correctly.
  • Peru Bob (Community Expert) asked which country the user was purchasing from, since payment issues are often tied to a mismatch between the account's country and the payment method's country.
  • kglad (Community Expert) suggested using an updated, non-Opera mobile browser with Wi-Fi disabled to attempt the payment.
  • ShivangiGupta (Community Manager) asked whether all the cards used were from the same bank, and suggested trying a payment method from a different bank, as well as trying a different browser or device in case the device itself was blocking the payment.

Suggested solutions by Adobe

If your payment isn't going through when subscribing to an Adobe plan, try the following:

  1. Confirm that your Adobe account's country matches your card's billing country. A mismatch here is a common cause of payments being rejected before they even reach your bank.
Change the country associated with your Adobe account
  2. Try a payment method from a different bank if all your attempted cards are from the same bank, since some banks or card networks may be blocked or flagged by the payment gateway.
Update payment information for Adobe account
  3. Switch to a different browser or device, since certain browsers or devices can interfere with how the payment form submits your details.
Can't update your payment method on Adobe account
  4. If you have a tax ID (VAT/GST/NIT) on file, make sure it's entered correctly, as invalid tax ID formatting can sometimes interfere with payment processing.
    Update your tax identification number

Thanks for confirming. We are just trying to isolate the problem.

Since you have mentioned that you used multiple cards(debit/credit), were they all from the same bank? If yes, please try making the purchase using a different bank’s payment method.

Also, as the expert suggested, please try subscribing using a different browser or a different device. Sometimes, the device may be blocking the payment.

Let us know how it goes.

If everything is in order, it seems the page isn't processing any payments from my account. I don't have any previous plans; it's my first time subscribing, but it says the entries are invalid in the payment box. As I said, I tried with several cards and payment methods.
