Adobe Account Access app stopped working.

When I got my new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL smartphone I had to re-sign in to the Adobe Account Access app. Whatever I did a regular email address and password, an SMS code, a code sent to my email address, etc made the Access app appear to sign in however it quickly switched to “Something went wrong” and at the bottom “Close app”. Several times I have cleared cache, cleared data, I even uninstalled the app 8 different times and reinstalled it 8 different times. Today I finally got a hold of an Adobe live support agent who gave me all the same directions that I have already preformed about 10 times. I guess Adobe doesn’t know how to fix this problem either. Does a user out there know why I keep experiencing this? Does an Adobe user out there know of a fix to this problem?

Thank You,

Barry

    Thread summary

After switching to a new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, a user was repeatedly unable to sign in to the Adobe Account Access app. Signing in with email/password, SMS code, or email code appeared to work briefly before returning a "Something went wrong" error and closing the app. The user cleared the cache and data multiple times and uninstalled/reinstalled the app eight times without resolving the issue.

    Troubleshooting steps suggested by participants

Creative Explorer (Community Expert) reported experiencing a similar issue on a Pixel device and found that switching to a different browser resolved sign-in access to the Adobe account itself (as opposed to reinstalling the app). Creative Explorer also noted that using one of the preset login buttons in the app sometimes signed into an old/incorrect account, but manually entering the verification code worked reliably for account verification.

    Suggested solution by Adobe

    1. If you don't receive a push notification or the app shows "Something went wrong": Open the Adobe Account Access app manually and select Approve. If that doesn't complete sign-in, go back to the browser sign-in screen and choose Select another way to sign in, then select Use an app to generate codes and manually enter the 6-digit code shown in the app (enter it quickly, since it refreshes periodically).
Can't sign in using the Adobe Account Access app
    2. If your phone may not fully support the app (missing hardware encryption or lock-screen security like fingerprint/face recognition/PIN): Confirm your phone runs Android 6+ or iOS 11+, install any pending security updates, and update the Adobe Account Access app to the latest version.
Can't sign in using the Adobe Account Access app
    3. If you don't have access to your phone or want an alternate sign-in path: Go to account.adobe.com, enter your email address, choose Select another way to sign in, and select the option to receive a verification code by email instead.
Can't sign in using the Adobe Account Access app
    4. If two-step verification codes (SMS/email) aren't arriving or aren't working: Wait a few minutes for delayed codes, check spam/junk folders, select Resend Code, or switch to the other verification method (email vs. text) on the Verify your identity page.
Can't sign in with two-step verification

The Adobe Account Access app never work on my Honor Magic V3 mobile phone. It has been logged in but the 2FA code was blank and never got Push notification when login from the Adobe web. Only Samsung S25U work without issue.

But it’s supposed to work on any Android phone. Right?

@dadybear1234 I just experienced this on my Pixel. And for some reason, Chrome on my Pixel gave me a weird log in…. and I panicked. Instead, I used a different browser on my Pixel and I was able to log in to my Adobe account (whew!). I did not uninstall anything — try a different app on your Pixel

Thanks. I can log on to my Adobe account from the Pixel. What I can't sign in to is the Adobe Account Access app on my Pixel 10 Pro XL. Sometimes Adobe sends me a Push Notification that I tap on and that opens the Adobe Account Access app to match the number of the Push Notification. If I can't sign in to the app it won't work the next time Adobe sends me a Push Notification to tap on. A live Adobe support agent couldn't even figure it out so I guess I'll be changing products soon.

@dadybear1234 ok. I just installed the app. I noticed when I try to log into an app, if I use one of the presets login buttons, it logs into my old account. But, if I manually enter the code, it works fine for verification. So far it works on a Pixel 10
