Adobe [cancellation fees] Resolved

I'm trying to cancel my account and apparently, I'm roped into some deal where I must pay a $30 cancellation fee.  This is disgusting and beneath a company of this stature.  I'll be complaining to corporate that this is an unacceptable way to address customer retention.

    I canceled my account 2017 March. After that they didn't change Apr 2017 Apr to Dec 2018. After that Jan 2019 to till May 2020, Adobe was charging every month $9.99. I want talk to customer service get refund back. But I don't have number. Looks like your system have some issue or fraud charge.

      I contacted Customer Service and informed them that I wanted my subscription cancelled immediatly and I was unwilling to pay the "gotcha" $30 cancellation fee.   They quickly agreed and removed me without additional payment.  I've read through the forum and it seems like many other people have had this issue.  Hopefully the moderators do not delete this post so people looking for help know the best way forward.

        The terms that you and everyone else agreed to are plainly written in standard language that everyone can understand.

        You had 14 days to cancel your plan without any penalty fees.  Why didn't you cancel when you had the chance?  If you neglected to follow through, that's not Adobe's fault.

          Again, it's a gotcha.  I don't mind being charged a monthly fee because I forgot to cancel.  But forcing me to pay a $30 cancellation fee?  That's not common practice, its a scam.  Adobe did nothing to earn this money from me, they just have my credit card and are forcing me to click link which says "I agree to pay $30 to cancel my subscription".  If it click "No Thank You" it says "Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us".  Barf.

            I guess I must now consider adobe with the list of companies not to trust.  Typically when I'm being informed I'm signing up for a free trial I don't assume "free" means "scam".  Maybe it is my mistake for not approaching business like a lawyer.  Typically I don't associate with companies that have "gotcha's" and I guess this means Adobe now falls into that category.  This policy has lost a lifetime customer, not sure if they care or not.
