Adobe is a scam company

it's apparently not obvious enough for some users, but when you start an annual subscription, you have 14 days to cancel without a penalty.  thereafter your annual subscription automatically renews on your subscription date each year unless cancelled (ideally a day or two before renewal).

if that's confusing don't use an annual plan.  use a monthly plan that has no penalty no matter when cancelled.
