Adobe is charging me 189% of what I paid for the month just to cancel my plan.
I owned Adobe Creative Cloud for 1 month and purchased the student version for $16.95. They charged me the initial cost and I used the programs I needed. Now, I'm being told that I need to pay $31.98 just to cancel my plan. According to the subscription terms; "Should you cancel after 14 days, you’ll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation and your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period." If this is accurate, I should only be paying $8.46 for the cancelation fee. Also, I was not notified in any way of any kind of cancelation fee. I can chalk this up to my lack of patience in reading user agreements, but its still something that should be clearly communicated to the customer as an ethical business practice.
