Question

Adobe needs to offer more specialized app packages

I was a holdout to becoming a subscriber and now with upgrading to big sur, I had to bite the bullet. But what really bites is that Adobe doesn't offer any specialized packages. For me and probably many others, don't need access to a cagillion apps that I'll never use. My bread and butter apps are Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and InDesign. I don't need to pay six or seven hundred dollars a year for four apps.

Yes, you need to pay six or seven hundred dollars for four apps. You don't get to say "20 apps for $600, so of course they are worth only $600/20 = $30 a year each." A typical Adobe professional uses four apps, and it's priced reasonably on that basis. Single apps were $700 for an outright license, but Adobe expected their loyal customers to upgrade every 2 years. It's a bargain now.

It's like going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and wanting a reduction because you don't eat some of the dishes.

Adobe offers 2 deeply discounted bundles  -- Photography or ALL Apps plans.  With 15 million subscribers, Creative Cloud is wildly successful.

    BUNDLES:

Photography $10/month for 12 months of PS, PS for iPad, LR Classic, LR cloud & mobile, plus other apps & services.

ALL Apps $52/month for 12 months of 51+ apps & services.

A la carte pricing costs more but it's there for anyone who wishes to design their own plan.  Although three or more single apps will likely cost you  more than an ALL Apps bundle.  So the best option is usually the bundle, whether or not you use everything in it.

    A LA CARTE:

Illustrator is $22/month for 12 months.

InDesign is $22/month for 12 months.

    + Photography bundle $10/month for 12 months

    -------------------------------------

    $54/month

This is a public forum, not Adobe support... and people have been asking for flexible subscriptions ever since subscriptions started
