Question

Adobe will not respect their pricing terms

I tried to make a purchase today of the Adobe Creative Cloud Package through the student discount. The pricing, which has been up for at least 3 months since that was the first time I noticed it, is listed at CAD $27.99 for the year. I tried purchasing with their online chat agents, and had 3 agents end the chat on me. Supposedly because they would not respect the terms on their website. I then called their agents over the phone, and their manager stated they would not respect the terms on their official website, and he connected me with their customer support. After struggling with customer support, insisting that they respect the terms that have been on their website for several months now, the person helping me just hung up. So, not only is adobe especially unprofessional regarding customer service, hanging up on me 4 times, but especially unprofessional in that they will not respect their own terms. Does anyone have advice for how to proceed, since I still think they ought to respect the official terms on the website.

You can find these terms here: https://www.adobe.com/ca/creativecloud/buy/students.html#ste-introductory.

Wesley, sorry if you were disconnected from our chat support team. I only see a phone interaction under the account you used to post to this public discussion forum. Please update your active support case ADB-29087978-Y5P0 using the process listed at https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html

I would recommend you use a different device than the one you used to contact our chat support team at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen, as the exact cause for the unresponsive chats could prevent you from making the necessary updates. Please update the case with any unanswered questions.

Your support case ADB-29087978-Y5P0 is currently in process, but the case will automatically close if we do not receive any other response from you, Wesley. I would encourage you to add any unanswered questions or areas on which you would like additional clarity soon.

adobe agents have no incentive/reason to deny adobe offers.  if an offer has expired, agents would have stated that. if your not eligible for an offer agents would have explained this. ie, there's more to this story than your message indicates.

The offer hasn't expired, and I am eligible for the student discount. They stated that this particular deal is an error and would not honour it for that reason. But, this deal has been on their website for at least 3 months without any changes, and can be found at two different locations. So, I think Adobe should be required to honour the deals explicitly stated on their website.
