Question

Am I the only one completely disgusted with this companies lack of cancellation policy?

I downloaded the 14 day “free trial" (hilarious title by the way, good joke adobe) only to cancel it before I was supposed to actually start getting charged. I realized I didn’t actually need it. Sue me for trying to save money. Apparently they did not actually cancel my account and were secretly charging me over $100/month. Again, I tried to cancel it, thought I had. Just got another charge the other day. At this point I’m absolutely horrified at this business model and scared for the people who work there. I did a big, huge thorough search going through every inch of this “account” I still have for some reason. Yet again, they told me I could leave, but this time there is an almost $600 cancellation fee. Why? What am I costing you? You’re clearly doing great scamming other elementary school teachers who don’t have money during the summer break. But I, owe you?

On top of it all, I tried calling their support line to try and make sure it was actually cancelled. The voice recording gives you choices, #2 is If you would like to cancel or make limitations to your account please press 2…..I did. It immediately says, Thank you for calling adobe, Goodbye AND HANGS UP ON YOU.

I swore that I would be that person who never wrote reviews but OH MY GOSH I feel like I’m losing my mind and all my money.

If this has happened to you please let me know that there is a way out of this craziness.

    Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I can understand how frustrating it is to continue seeing charges when you believed your subscription had already been canceled.

One detail that may help explain the billing timeline is that Adobe Creative Cloud free trials generally run for 7 days. If the trial isn't canceled before it ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and billing begins.

Once a trial converts to a paid plan, the cancellation and refund terms depend on the subscription that was selected. For most plans purchased directly from Adobe, you can receive a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the initial paid subscription start date. After that, refund eligibility varies by plan type. For annual plans billed monthly, an early termination fee of 50% of the remaining contract balance may apply if the plan is canceled before the annual term ends. Although billing occurs monthly, the plan itself is still an annual commitment.

If you intended to cancel during the trial period, it may be worth checking for a cancellation confirmation email or reviewing your Adobe account to confirm the plan status. A successful cancellation should generate a confirmation, and you can also verify that the plan no longer appears as active in your account.

I'm also sorry to hear that you had difficulty reaching support. That would be frustrating, especially when you're trying to resolve a billing issue.

I completely understand why you're concerned, especially when unexpected charges affect your budget. We’ll make sure the feedback gets more eyes.
