Auto-renew

Hi,

I thought I had switched off auto-renew for my yearly plan but Adobe has tried to take a payment from my bank account a few times. As the payment is now "late" I can no longer access the panel to switch off auto-renew or downgrade the plan. How can I cancel it?

no argument. it should (imo) be easier to schedule a cancellation date. actually, it should just be possible to schedule a cancellation date.

but these are user forums. for applicable apps, use https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/x-productkb/global/how-to-user-voice.html

for others, use https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

to make suggestions to adobe.

Just bumping this from another victim:

"Let me get this straight. I've purchased a subscribiton for a whole year and one year only. I do not wish to renew after one year. I go to my account, and the only option I have is to cancel my account.

Now most other companies, even the most greedy ones out there offer the user to tick out the "autorenewal" button (even if it is on by default and hidden behind a bunch of menu options and" are-you-sure-here-is-a-discount" prompts), but apparently not Adobe. Instead, the cancel option will immedialely terminate your subscription and as well, you will have to pay 50% up front for the remaining months!

So unless you babysit and make an appointment in your calendar for when you should cancel, you either lose out on what you payed for, or your subscribtion keeps rolling.

I really hope you get a civil lawsuit up your photoshopped butts for your awful business practices."

Adding my comment:

This means the only way for us to stop auto renewal is to be remember or stay alert exactly one year after we pay the first subscription. Adobe is no longer fun for me. Super greedy even though many of your user already complaint about this.

contact adobe support.  (and there is no way to disable auto-renew; you have to cancel prior to the renew date.)

there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
