Billed during Free Trial Period

I opted to have the 7 day trial period and gave my account details for access to the same. I received a message for Rs. 0 to confirm the account. However, my account got debited for Rs. 1834.9 instantly.

How do I get a refund? I did not even use the Trial

Hi @smrsforwork,

We are sorry for the experience. We'll look into this. Did you speak with our support team to get the refund issued? https://adobe.ly/4jw4pqg

Let us know.

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

if you're unable to follow the steps described, you'll need to await help from an adobe employee for the next step.  (if you don't get a reply here from a badged employee within 24 hours, repost.)

@smrsforwork It's completely understandable to feel frustrated and surprised when a "free trial" immediately results in a charge, especially when you haven't even used the service. The tricky part with many digital trials is that by providing your account details, you typically agree to their terms of service, which often state that the trial period begins the moment you sign up and ends automatically converting to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the specified date/time. The clock starts ticking the instant you give your payment information and gain access, regardless of whether you actively use the software or not. For future reference, I have a strategy of cancelling two days in advance, specifically because of time zone differences and processing delays that can lead to unexpected charges!
