Can I use an ASUS 3-month Creative Cloud offer after cancelling my Student plan?

Hi, I currently have an Adobe Creative Cloud Student plan. I recently bought an ASUS monitor that includes a 3-month free Adobe Creative Cloud offer.

I would like to know if I can cancel or pause my current Student plan, use the ASUS 3-month offer, and then subscribe again with the Student discount afterward.

Also, would cancelling my current Student plan cause any early cancellation fee?

Thank you for posting to this public discussion forum, @muratdanaci.

I appreciate your interest in our services. I see that your new discounted subscription is new. To redeem your new code, you will need to cancel your current commitment.

We don’t offer any student subscription plans for Creative Cloud with ASUS monitors, so you would start a full-price subscription in addition to your discounted subscription if you redeem the code without canceling your current plan as suggested by @kglad.

You can use the steps listed https://helpx.adobe.com/account/individual/subscriptions-and-plans/renewals-and-cancellations/cancel-adobe-subscription.html to self-cancel your current subscription. As mentioned by @John T Smith you will also need to requalify for the discounted plan to start a new discounted subscription.

To redeem the code you received with your ASUS monitor, @muratdanaci , then see https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/licensing-activation/serial-number-redemption-code/redeem-adobe-code-gift-card.html. I don’t know what type of offer you have received, but the typical offer is for 3 free months followed by the remaining months at the regular price.

As suggested by @kglad you will need to be careful with applying or using redemption codes. I don’t know if it will be worth the 3 months, @muratdanaci, since you already have a full Creative Cloud subscription at a deeply discounted rate.

If you are truly looking to save money, check with your educational institution to see if they offer their own plan you can subscribe to, @muratdanaci. If they do offer their own plan, then your individual plan may not be compatible while using their network or devices, or when interacting with other members of the school.

I’m sorry Mr Wright..but we beg to differ and express OUTRAGE at the latest grab for coin from Adobe re: price increases..From losing access to Creative Cloud DVD software that we paid good money for prior to the monthly subscription “racket”... those software discs are now useless..to regular price increases..Adobe has no excuses and the laughable claim that you “care” for content creators is a nonsense...many now will be unable to afford your software..and while you offer student discounts we all grow up and need to pay the full price eventually..CREATIVITY shouldn’t be a luxury….having a Creative Cloud license is now a luxury….will be looking at alternatives..Canva looks really promising..and so do other platforms...we’d like to stay but you get the impression Adobe couldn't care less about folks like us who have purchased their product for over a decade..you have taken us for granted you DO NOT CARE..and maybe it’s time to say “I’m taking my business elsewhere” because we like many others are FED UP with your apparent greed...

No ITS NOT...our software is UNUSABLE..not going to get into an argument with a defender of Adobe...its like arguing with a mug ...Adobe is OVERPRICED and has defined creativity as a luxury...

    Do the math.

3-months of free service at the regular price is nothing close to the Student discount you’re already receiving.  You will gain nothing, pay a 50% early termination fee, and end up paying more for the same services. 😣

Best advice, give the discount voucher to a friend or family member, if it can be transferred.

    Hope that helps.

You may not pause a subscription

When you cancel early you pay a fee of ½ of the remaining time

If you cancel you will need to qualify again to get a student plan

if the free offer exactly matches your current plan, you can add it to your current plan and it will extend your expiration date by 3 months.

otherwise, you can’t use it while your current plan exists and there’s no way to end/suspend your current plan without penalty.

Where can I add this code?

Also, would it cause any problem if I try it?
