Question

Can not use Adobe Lightroom despite purchasing and activating plan 7 days ago

I am submitting this message as I am not getting the required support by contacting support by chat. It seems that the agents are more interested in closing the tickets rather than actually understanding the resolving the issue (ref: ADB-47513970-N7B0).

I signed-up for Lightroom plan (7 day trial) on 03.10.2026.

And, after testing out for a couple of days, I bought the 12-month plan (from a trusted seller) and applied the code to my Adobe account on 06.10.2026. I clearly remember that when I applied the code, it extended the “expiry date” for my Lightroom subscription by 12 months so the voucher was applied correctly to my Adobe account.

However, I have not been able to use my Adobe Lightroom subscription for last few days (after the trial period). So, I am stuck with not being able to use the product despite purchasing the subscription. Therefore, it seems that my account is stuck under “trial” mode for some reason.

When I access the Plans page under Adobe account, I get the message under Billing and payment section stating: “We are currently updating your plan. You will be able to manage it shortly.” and its been stuck on this message for last few days.

Having searched on Community pages, it seems that this issue is not un-common.

The frustrating thing for me is that the support team is not willing to understand and suggest real solutions.

They told me it’s pending payment and I need to wait. Also, they asked me to contact the retailer from whom I bought the voucher.

I am hoping that someone from Adobe Community moderation team can push the support team to resolve the issue. I am also highlighting this is an issue which is coming from community and Adobe needs to find a resolution or train support teams to handle these cases effectively.

I am afraid I will keep creating tickets without any resolution.

You don’t need to create new tickets. You can update an existing one https://helpx.adobe.com/account/individual/manage-your-account/update-open-adobe-support-case.html

I understand, I asked specifically for the ticket not to be closed as my issue is not resolved. However, the support team closed the case. This is what I mentioned about support keen in closing the case than to understand and resolve the issue.
I will submit another ticket with reference to my original ticket

You will have to work with Adobe Support on this. Fellow users can only share their experiences but that won’t solve an account problem. What exactly did the chat support tell you?
