Can’t access my Illustrator app despite having an active license through Apple

When signing in to the Illustrator app on my IPad Pro, the account I try to sign in with does not have an active subscription, although I have an active subscription on my apple account. I get the message that there is an active subscription on this device but I don't have any way to access it. I tried cancelling my license and downloading it again through my account but I am stuck in a loop and it does not let me continue. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Thanks!
