Question

Cancel trial and start over or just move to new computer?

I signed up for a trial version of Adobe and am now getting a new lap top. I want to put adobe on my new computer but not have it on my old laptop. I know that I can have it on 2 devices but might want to put it on a tablet down the road. Should I cancel my subscription and start over (I can still do that within the next week) or can I remove it from my old laptop and use it on a tablet in a few months?

A tablet, such as an iPad Pro, will not count against the number of computers used in your account. It’s possible to have Creative Cloud apps installed on both your old notebook computer and the new one. The trick is both computers can’t be running at the same time. If both are running you’ll need to sign out of the Creative Cloud app on one of the computers.

But if I never plan to use it on the old computer wouldn’t it be better if it just wasn’t part of the equation?

There is nothing wrong with removing Creative Cloud and its related apps from the old notebook and installing them on the new computer. You don’t have to start over from scratch, such as creating a new account or anything like that. Just keep track of your account details (user name, password, etc.).
