Cancellation charges for something I didn’t knowingly sign up for

I signed up for a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro. I do not remember ever agreeing to a separate subscription for AI Assistant Plus, and I would never have intentionally signed up for it.

I cancelled Acrobat Pro and received confirmation that my subscription would end on 4 October 2026.

However, on 2 November, I was charged €6.19 for AI Assistant Plus. I only then discovered that cancelling Acrobat Pro had not cancelled this additional subscription. Adobe is now also asking me to pay a cancellation fee. This is extremely misleading.

It seems that AI Assistant Plus is added during the original free trial sign-up without realising you are agreeing to a separate paid subscription.

Can you explain how I supposedly agreed to this separate subscription, refund my €6.19 and cancel this AI Assistant Plus without any cancellation fee.

These two are different subscriptions and need separate cancellations. For refund rules and cancellation fees see the following article

As I said, I never signed up to an AI assistant. This is obviously buried somewhere so Adobe can catch people out after they’ve cancelled what they actually signed up for. Totally misleading “free” trial. I will be making a complaint to CCPC

I am not an Adobe representative. I am saying that these are two different subscriptions. Also, when you cancelled you land at the page which shows all the active subscriptions so I am not sure how you missed this. Anyhow you should contact Adobe Support and discuss your options. They may waive of the cancellation fees, worth a try.
